We have been involved in Golden Retrievers since 1991, with the purchase of our first Golden - Oban's Dundee, pictured on our home page.   A true English type dog that inspired me to do more for this beautiful dog. Starting with local dog shows and breeders I gradually came to dedicate myself to the breed.  We have aspired to learn everything we possibly can, a process that is on-going and far-reaching.  All throughout, I have developed a strong bond with Dundee's breeders, who are truly my second family. In 2005 Norsehaven Kennel was founded and registered with the Canadian Kennel Club.  We are a small kennel, so we only produce litters occsasionaly and selectively.  All our dogs live with us in our home and are part of our family. We're very active with our goldens: going hiking, swimming in lakes, bike rides in cool weather, and of course our daily walks. We like to do obedience training with them so they are well rounded and can be taken anywhere without problems.We are also very involved in conformation shows. Our dogs are well socialized with people and animals alike.We love them dearly and are extremely proud of them. Our Goals : To breed english type Goldens of true quality, type and temperament. Health is of extreme importance for the quality and longevity of life of puppies we send to new homes. Afterall a golden should live to 13 and beyond!  Our dogs are tested for Hips (OFA,OVC,BVA or PennHip), Elbows (OFA,OVC), Heart(OFA), Eyes (CERF) and Temperament. They are sold on non-breeding contracts unless special arrangements have been made. We give a written guarantee. This is not a business but a passionate hobby. We breed for ouselves first.
